Brams takes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) to next level on third trip to Africa

BJJ without Borders '17, by Ibrahima “Brams” Samba

BJJ without Borders is back, led by Ibrahima Samba, aka Brams. Brams is a Brazilian Jiu jitsu (BJJ) Black belt from Brazilian top Team Canada under Fabio Holanda, who is truly determined to take Senegalese BJJ to the next level. From 28 Nov to 7 Dec 2017, Brams offered intermediate and advanced training at the Olympique Club of Mermoz in Dakar.

The seminars were free and open to all; however, Brams primary objective was to refine the game of experience grapplers he has been working with for years now. The seminars brought out the most talented and consistent BJJ practitioners in Dakar. Brams also used this visit to hold several promotions, including Senegal's first brown belt promotion.
A French and Senegalese national, Brams lived in Montreal when he began contributing to the LionHeart Initiative in Senegal as a BJJ purple belt in early 2014. After Brams pioneering efforts to develop BJJ in Dakar in 2014, he returned in January 2016 for a month to develop the capacity of BJJ practitioners is Senegal. In late 2016, Brams became a BJJ instructor in the United Arab Emirate, from where he joins us in Dakar.
